Mark had the day off, which is kind of different. He is usually home after lunch on Fridays anyways, but the girls I think were a little confused that daddy was home all day. We didn't do a whole lot on Friday, but it still seemed crazy.
Saturday morning Mark took off to Sioux falls to get his rowing machine while I was home with the girls. Then once Mark got home from Sufu, I dropped him and the girls off at his parents. There he was going to help his brother fix his computer and the girls could play with their cousins from Wisconsin. I went over to my sister in law, Kathy's. They just bought a house and were moving in this weekend. Kathy wanted to get the painting and such done, so I went to help her with baby Isabella's room. I must say it is a super cute room thanks to the wonderful polka dot templates we put up on the walls! Mark also helped with some moving of furniture on Saturday afternoon, so that Kathy and Cody could sleep at their new house. Then in the evening we all went out to the farm for supper. There we received some wonderful news which I can't share at this time but will surely share more later. It was past the girls bedtime when we got home, but they had a great day.
Sunday was of course Easter. Church was fantastic. I love singing the Easter songs about Christ death and rising from the dead and conquering the grave! Sunday dinner was at the farm. We hung out there most of the day while the girls played and we were able to talk to family. It was sunny and warm so the kids were able to play outside for once. It seems forever since the sun has been out and now of course as I type this out its raining, but such is Spring.
Sunday night we were able to witness Cody's profession of faith and the baptism of Isabella Grace. What a wonderful service that was! Then after church we headed out to the farm again for some cake. Once again it was very late and way past bedtime, but we were able to get some fun pictures and have fun with family.
It was a great weekend and its always nice to get together with family, even one as big as Marks. With 12 kids so far it gets a bit loud and crazy, but we always manage to smile about something.
